M5 Dog walk, dog-friendly pub and farm shop, Somerset
An interesting stop, with a good farm shop and the chance to buy some freshly-made cider direct from the brewery.

We were charmed by this pretty town with a delightful dog walk by the side of a shallow, twinkling stream and a 15th century dog-friendly pub for refreshments at the start of the walk.
A relaxing place to take a break, with a grassy area and also shade under the trees. For dogs who are a bit nervous of the water, there's a gentle slope down for easy paddling.
Excellent part of the massive forest for walking dogs. There are several marked trails and on a clear day the views are spectacular.
A short woodland stroll with the dog will bring you to a curious collection of early Christian signs and a glimpse too of the very rich history of the area.
A very convenient picnic site right on the beach with easy access for motorhomes and caravans.
This is just one of the beaches on Skye where you can see actual dinosaur footprints embedded in the rock. The trick is to be able to spot them.
If it's location and excellent food you're after, this waterside inn is a winner. It's a scenic route to get there by road, or the ferryboat from Skye.
A small castle ruin with magnificent views across the water and loads of romantic atmosphere. Active dogs will want more of a walk, or could swim from the beach. This is just a short stop.
We saw a lot of dogs hopping on and off the loch ferry cruise boats here. If you fancy a short cruise they leave regularly and give you an unrivalled view of the loch.
Today the castle looks a tad forlorn, but back in the day it was a vibrant centre and visitors came by sea. Dogs are welcome around the ruins and there's a seafood cafe next door.
Everything for dogs to love here, with endless space and paths. Getting there seems to take for ages but it's definitely worth it if you have dogs or kids who really need to let off steam.
