Parkland on the outskirts of Norwich, and a popular destination for local dog owners. There's plenty of walking to be done, whether you prefer the waterside or woodland walks.
A country inn that's full of charm. Warm and comforting in winter, open and spacious in summer. Since we visited the management has changed at least twice - we think it's still dog-friendly.
Calling all Sherlock Holmes fans with dogs. The Adventures of the Dancing Men was written here, and Conan Doyle was a regular visitor. They even have a blue plaque on the pub wall.
The walk starts at a cafe where dogs are more than welcome. There are plenty of water bowls and the tables have rings so that you can safely attach your dogs leads.
Wild winds and sideways rain was the story here. And still the beach was good for a walk, and the very dog-cafe came up with welcome hot food and soup. It must be amazing in sunshine!
This is a great spot with free parking not far from the A11, the main circular route takes around 45mins, dogs are required to stay on the lead between March and September due to birds nesting.
Convenient place to stop for a short walk on clean paths, shopping, meals (inc breakfast) and to see something of this developed part of the town.
An historic hamlet dominated by a 15th century hall and a rather gracious dog-friendly country inn with good food.
Really lovely walk amongst ever changing scenes of the natural world. Definitely a great place to stand, stare and breathe deeply.
