Walk via Roman Antonine Wall to Banknock and back on the canal towpath
Come here for a bracing walk with the dog and some outstanding food afterwards. Run by a local chef/patron this is something out of the ordinary.
Beautiful clear water lake with mountain backdrop. It's in Snowdonia.
A pretty little beach on the Gower and much quieter than many other beaches in summer. There's a walk to get there, and it's worth checking that you'll be arriving when the tide is out.
Long sandy beach, dog-restricted in summer but great for autumn and winter dog walks
Dogs welcome all year round. It's a great beach to walk along - we didn't let Jem swim as there seemed to be quite an undertow and he's not a strong swimmer.
Head here if you're looking for a multi-activity day or afternoon out - there's a massive choice of kids' stuff (from 8 to 80), and some lovely quiet dog trails as well.
Easy to follow dog walkies route that's perfect for a short stroll on a hot day. It's just a few miles off the A442.
Small, but incredibly useful park close to the town centre. We found it completely by chance while waiting to meet a much delayed train - and Jem was delighted!
Wonderful dog walk from Mottram Road in Stalybridge, up the road to the farm, through the farm up on to the hills is wonderful.
Amazing views from the top of the Warren on a clear day. Look out for Tennyson's memorial and Hurst Castle especially.
