Very easy country pub to find on the Daventry Road, and ideal for a doggie pitstop. The walk is lovely on a sunny day, but can get very muddy in wet weather.
Close to the Fosseway (A46) and worth a detour for lunch. The village itself is a delight, with a brook running down the street - and this will be a total magnet for labs and the water woofers.
