Varied parkland, with woods, open space and some very pretty ponds. We were charmed by the Common and it's an excellent spot for a gentle dog walk.

Handy place to know about for drivers with dogs on the A38 and visitors to the Webbs garden centre and Hanbury Hall. As of August 2024 the exterior is now a cream colour (not the previous grim green).
Small roadside pub on the A451 and it looks as if it's sinking below the weight of tarmac and traffic. But no - inside you'll find more space than expected, and a beer garden in summer too.
Another marvellous dog walking place in the middle of Thetford Forest. Can't help thinking that Norfolk dogs are just a tad spoiled for choice.
