St Marys Island and coast path, Tyne and Wear
An easy, occasionally bracing, walk to a lighthouse reached over a tidal causeway. It's a popular tourist attraction, as are the seals who live here.

Welcoming and dog-friendly spot, with comfort bakes and good coffee.
A romantic ruin, in the middle of nowhere. Dogs and kids can run riot, it's a fairly short walk from the car park to the castle and then you can explore the ruins and wander around as you please.
Just out of the centre and situated a little way from the beach this is a good location when it's a blowy day near the sea.
A good and handy doggie pitstop on the A420, with plenty of parking. It's a shame that this country inn seems to have been shunted to one side by the main road.
Such a lovely place for dogs. They even have their own special dining room! They have a very nice menu for vegan people too.
A glorious pub with real fires, a fantastically friendly atmosphere and wonderful food too.
It's true that Driving with Dogs is all about walks on the go, and family and dog-friendly cafes and pubs for a civilised snack on your journey.
A popular country park formed around the river Wyre and its estuary.
A National Trust site, which has a beautiful house, garden & beautiful walks / trails available. As it is National trust, dogs are expected to be on lead at all times.
A walk in a fine old forest on the shores of Lower Lough Erne. The tracks are leafy and there will be plenty of smells to fascinate a doggy nose. Keep your eyes open for red squirrels.
Fun walk across the iconic bridge and into woodland. Unlike most walks in the area this one is completely hill-free!
