Outstanding walks in a fabulous mid-Wales setting. The dam is the obvious attraction and you'll find a number of well-signed trails from the car park.

This is a lovely dog friendly inn with excellent accommodation. We stayed two nights with our collie and they were very accommodating. Good location for Illam and Tissington Trail.
Upmarket and dog-friendly establishment with an amazing terrace hanging over the river. The mill wheel still turns - not for grinding corn anymore though.
The sandy beach ar Llanbedrog is very popular during the summer months. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round, but in summer they need to be on leads as the beach gets busy.
Not too far from the A48 (Newnham) is Soudley Ponds in the Forest of Dean.
A chance to explore some historic walks with the dog. Refreshments at a treasure of a village pub, with a big welcome even if you're just popping in for a coffee.
Wonderful dog-friendly cafe and farm shop with easy access from the A550 to the west of Chester.
This is the old railway line from Biggar to Broughton. It's a beautiful walk, starting from the golf course which goes through some lovely landscapes. Plenty of dogs in the morning.
This is probably one of the easier sections of the Pembrokeshire coastal path, and a glorious dog walk at any time of the year.
Monsal Head is one of iconic beauty spots of the White Peak - and Fido will get a good welcome from the cafe at the viewpoint overlooking the dale.
The visitor centre has a lot of instructions for various walks, all they ask for is a donation towards the printing. We did a circular walk from the town along the river.
Dog-friendly inn with loads of historic 16th century character and charm. Easy to find from the A46 and a hassle-free stop close to the tourist attractions, and yet still a bit of a hidden gem.
