A massive forest to explore, with footpaths running in every direction. Total doggy bliss!

Part of a bird sanctuary called Barons Haugh. There is a Japanese garden and it also has the oldest living thing in Lanarkshire - the Covenanters Oak, which is 800 years old.
Free parking welcomes you to the Aquadrome. Just across the way is the lovely "Cafe In the Park" but sadly dogs aren't allowed inside.
Located just 2 miles from j 11 m62 a picturesque oasis on the outskirts of Warringtons Risley/Birchwood business and science parks.
Gravel beach with accessible footpath. Excellent for a fish and chips lunch while the dog enjoys a dip!
Fab walking over the headland, and also on the beaches. Dog friendly all year, under control as it's a nature reserve.
Bramblebush Bay has some nice grassy picnic areas, and free parking along the roadside. Finding a parking space can be exciting on hot weekend days.
Enormous sandy beach, with no dog restrictions. Brilliant!
The Aire de Repose that appear every 20km or so - and always have WCs and usually picnic tables - are a real bonus of the French motorway system.
