A welcome spot for a doggie comfort break, with swimming and off-lead sniffing along woodland paths. On the hot day we were there the river was awash with dogs, children and loads of happy shrieking.
Interesting combination of a fantastically long sandy beach, the coast path and also a nature reserve where reed beds have been made from earlier gravel pits.
An astonishing country park with lots to do and see. Dogs, kids and adults will all be able to find something of interest here.
