Summer holiday stop off
Stopped here based on the info given as a brief rest while travelling from the lakes to Pitlochry. The cathedral is beautiful and the walk along the river just lovely. If you do go that little bit further, you walk through a little park (map added) and there’s space for the dog to have a run off the lead if they have good recall, and plenty of spots in the river for a dip if that’s their thing (or yours!). The car park isn’t huge so if you’ve got a longer campervan or motorhome you might struggle if it’s busy. We went on a Sunday in a 5.6m Fiat Ducato camper and managed to park on an end where we weren’t bothering anyone. Could easily have stayed longer by the river for a picnic. Or there is a lovely Tilly’s tea shop just around the corner from the cathedral that is dog friendly.
