Coates Water Park

I followed the postcode but this took me to a newly developed housing estate. However I was able to walk through the estate and found some open access fields. I then discovered the back of the Water Park. This is a good place to exercise dogs - excellent space and good routes round the lake. If you ignore the postcode and follow the Coates Water Park you will end up in a paid car park. Not sure if costs as I didn’t use it having walked through the housing estate. I would pay though - good space, cafe and toilets.

Once I found it - the dog could go off lead for a run

I found the entrance a bit hard to find - ended up cutting across some rough land. However it was safe for the dog off lead. Never like crossing roads around service stations which you have to do.

Surprising find - loads of space

I was a little worried I’d gone run as I turned into a housing estate but good signage to the car park. Then loads of space - a bit muddy in places but it was perfect for off lead walk. I didn’t see a loo but there are the woods!

Really pleased with this find.

This was my first visit here. Easy to find from the motorway, just a short trip. The dog got a good run around, it was lovely. I must admit it wasn’t particularly busy so maybe it just felt more freer and open. Goods loos too.
