Lovely lunch stop
On our way to angelsey for a few nights so this made the ideal lunch stop just off the A55. Spacious car park, lovely welcome, dogs in the dining area of the bar or the garden. Great food - advisable to book as dog tables are limited. Our under the table troll really enjoyed the supply of dog biscuits on the bar

Heavenly place to pause
Monty just loved it here when we stopped off on our long drive to holidays. There were a few other people around but you quickly lost them. An idyllic stream that was so clear I had a paddle as well. If you bear to the left coming out of the carpark you will see a little path leading down to the right that meanders along the stream through some woods which were the perfect antidote to a long hot drive. Definitely going on our list of places to stop on our trips through Wales. Lovely picnic and leg stretch location

Perfect escape on a hot day
We visited Canaston in early June during our holiday when hunting for somewhere cool during the heatwave. Met a local in the car park and she pointed us in the direction of a 20ish minute circular complete with stream for our 10 month old lab to paddle in. Safe to say it was perfect both for him and us to get out the heat for a bit. Will be back to do the longer route on a less hot day once he is a bit older. Great parking, easy routes and access, lots of tracks to explore - the postcode takes you to about half a mile from the actual location but it is worth the hunt

Perfect stop
Park up on the road by this lovely pub, stroll down the hill by the church, past the very friendly collie and a wide accessible river is available to cool down the travelling pooch
Walk back up to the pub (with soggy but happy pooch )and select from the great choice of food on the menu and specials board, even better is the dog menu - Monty had the chicken.
You can sit outside or in the small but cosy tap room with your furry companion - we sat outside partly as one of the party was in his dressing gown by this point. Staff were really friendly and made a real fuss of Monty. They have proper coke on draft which had the husband waxing lyrical as most places are Pepsi or diet. Lovely food perfect lunch spot.
