Rickerby Park dog walk - Carlisle, Cumbria Beautiful wide open space with the River Eden flowing through. Great beach for the dogs to go swimming. Stopped here while travelling up to Scotland. There is a monument here too.
A visit to Castle Howard with the dog, North Yorkshire An easy-going walk with the dog through an outstanding 18th century park. This is treating the dog to high-end garden design on a grand scale.

Reservoir dog walk near Holmfirth, West Yorkshire Brilliant place for a decent length walk with the dogs, and usually not many people around during the week.
Overstrand dog-friendly cafe and beach, Norfolk Wild winds and sideways rain was the story here. And still the beach was good for a walk, and the very dog-cafe came up with welcome hot food and soup. It must be amazing in sunshine!
Sidmouth East dog-friendly beach, Devon, Devon Large, popular beach with pebbles and some sand. Dogs are OK on a designated part of the eastern side of the beach (by the cliffs).

Tebay services A lovely stopping place while travelling north. A green walk with dogs. There is a slip road to the southbound services too.
