Short, and pleasant walk through a bird sanctuary. The visitor centre has lots of interesting info, and there's plenty for kids to do (apart from walking the dog).

The paths here meander through a fine mix of woodland, meadow and waterside. The area is evidently a popular spot for local dog walkers, and we didn't see anyone without a dog!

This walk takes you around the perimeter of the 'Windmill Pool' and is flat, easy walking.

A dog walk with a very impressive view. On a clear day you can see as far as Long Mynd and the Wrekin, the Peak District to the north, and even the Beacon Hill in Loughborough to the east.
Woodland walk on well-maintained paths through a community nature reserve. Lots of friendly dog owners to be found here.

This is a former deer park with 2,400 acres of open space - including 7 lakes. The terrain is a mix of heathland, woodlands, wetlands and marshes.
Lottery money has transformed this 200 acre park into a pleasant walking spot.
Doe Bank is a small wood and playing fields, and alongside the park there is a large field that the land owner doesn't mind responsible dog walkers using.
