We discovered this pet-friendly hotel very recently after dropping family off at Stansted airport. So yes, it's very handy for the airport and also for some exploring in Essex.
Deservedly popular family-run country inn with rooms and satisfying food for hungry walkers (and smaller appetites too). Dogs get a grand welcome, and it's worth booking ahead for lunch.
Dog-friendly dining pub on the main road, and very handy if you're pushed for time. It's near a reservoir, but dogs aren't welcome there, which is a pity.
Lip-smackingly good food and the absolute best doggie menu in the county.
A marvellous dog walk that will please every pooch with a yearning for a sniff and leg-stretch. Dog-friendly B&B rooms if you need a stopover.
Fabulous dog stop here with a short walk to the beach through woodland and then endless romping space on the sand.
A family-run country pub with plenty of space for a large beer garden and good sized children's play area. Dogs welcome too of course.
Convenient dog and child-friendly pub to use for a meeting up, or to take a break before getting into Cambridge itself.
When only Thai food will do, and you're driving on the A10. Dog-friendly and good with kids.
Very pleasant village pub with a superb welcome for children and dogs. The garden was lovely when we were here.
Dog-friendly hotel and refreshments right on the main road, and an easy stopover on your route or a good base for touring the area.
