Forest day out with the family and dog, Kent
Busy Forestry recreation space, and great for a family outing. This is a long-stay visit, not a doggie-stop on your journey because the entry charge is over £10. The Pinetum is fantastic.

A park that's also near the canal, so if your dog needs a longer run there's a lot more walking on the towpath.
One of the most celebrated views in, and over, Yorkshire - definitely worth the uphill haul to get there on a clear day.
Dog friendly pub with great menu and decent sized car park
Hill top and seaside walk with stunning views across the Bristol Channel to Wales and around Weston Bay. Dog friendly Grannys Tea Gardens is on route
Lovely dog-welcoming pub, close to lots of walking trails in the Blackdown Hills

A short but sweet walk around a lake close to the centre of Loughborough. It was once a claypit and brickworks that supplied the bricks to build St Pancras station in London.
Several walk trails start in the car park and are a great start to exploring the enormous forests of Moray and Aberdeenshire.
If you're just off or onto a ferry boat this part of the Ardmore Forest makes a useful stopping point to let the dog put his nose up for a good sniff and scamper.
400 year old drovers inn, flag floors and roaring fire with good food. Children, muddy boots and dogs are made very welcome.
