Sandy beach on the heritage coastline where dogs are allowed all year round. And a coastal footpath runs through the fields above the beach as well.
Dogs allowed on the beach all year. It's a long secluded sandy beach with steep cliffs. At low tide there's loads of space for dogs to go completely bonkers.
Walk along the Old Deeside Railway line between Ballater and Dinnet.
Short wooded walk along the Southern Upland Way. This straight path is fenced and follows the adjacent railway line for around half a mile until its end just before the railway bridge.
Plenty to occupy dogs and walkers here, with an archaeology trail that heads for 2000 year old Pictish hut circles. Wow! Lovely loch too. You'll need proper walking boots for this one.
Close to the A61, this is a good family and dog stop for a break. We love the family trails made by Wakefield Council to keep kids moving, and the paths are perfect for dogs too.

Easy-to-find dog-friendly pub with no narrow lanes to contend with. Ideal for a campervan stop - or even a stop-over.
Huge parkland with enough to keep every dog happy.
