A great linear walk- taking in the highest Sand Dune in the UK! Around 4.5 miles of beautiful open Highland countryside and the most amazing views towards Skye & Rassay.
Large village pub, with an awesome selection of ales. The pub was taken over by a specialist craft brewery in 2019 and hopefully they've kept the spirit of the Poet alive. Reviews welcome!
Enormous country park, with lots to see and do as well as fantastic dog walking trails. It's looked after by the National Trust for Scotland - and there's a castle.
Southwold beach has summer restrictions for dogs, so head instead for the dog-friendly Denes - north of the main beach.
This is a really atmospheric and beautifully shady space for a dog walk. Several of the oak trees are named, and have boards identifying them - such as the 'King' oak.
The heath was once a place where travellers needed their dogs for protection against ruthless highwaymen like Dick Turpin.
A tree filled 70 acre park at the beginning of the A1. Once inside the trees, there's almost no trace of the surrounding traffic and there are plenty of tweeting birds instead.
