Near junction of A9 and A86 Stumbled across this little gem by accident while looking for somewhere else. Dogs need to be kept on lead around this lovely little nature reserve based around two ponds.

You'll find several sandy beaches just down from the Seaboard Centre and these are dog-friendly. When we were here there was no-one in sight, in mid-summer.
The dog walk here is a real hidden gem. And the geological features are interesting for curious people too. Not too far from the A9 heading north and well worth an explore.
This atmospheric ancient site is lovely for a short visit with the dog. Many people will recognise the burial cairns from the Outlander series.

A new and exciting place to walk the dogs. The scent of the wildflowers in summer are a delight for the most difficult to please canine snouts. A great place to enjoy the Caithness landscape.
