The hotel is opposite the farm where Shakespeare's in-laws lived, and this is an interesting little village to visit. Like so many of the inns in this area, the building itself is so old it's amazing.
A park that's great for kids and dogs, with 60 acres of grass and easy-going woodland paths. Plus a couple of exciting playgrounds and a steam train called Margaret.

Very popular with local dog owners, this nature reserve seems to enjoy its own micro-climate. The paths are sandy and easy-going all year round (even in heavy rain when we took the photos).
Dog walk in a really interesting country park, formed out of the remains of a colliery. The ponds in the park came about from subsidence, not design. It's a gritty sort of park, but worth a visit.
Famous for its 20th century troglodyte cave dwellers, and a great place to walk the dog.
Short, and pleasant walk through a bird sanctuary. The visitor centre has lots of interesting info, and there's plenty for kids to do (apart from walking the dog).

Stunning countryside with loads and loads of paths. It's close to the M5 and the A49 and on a clear day this is hard to beat for a dog walk.
Tucked away in a rural pocket of Warwickshire that's hemmed in by the motorway network, this is a no stiles, no sheep space for dogs and walkers. It's usually very quiet here.
